We admit children throughout the year, whenever a place is available and we are confident we can meet the child's needs. Most families join in September, but a child who arrives in February is not joining late.
We admit on the availability of a place and our honest judgement about meeting your child's needs. We do not select on ability, and we do not discriminate on grounds of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, disability or family circumstance.
Our admissions process is straightforward and designed to make enrolment easy for families.
Come and see us. Tour the classrooms in use, meet the teachers and the Head of School, and ask us anything. We will explain our programmes, our ethos and our fees in full. Collect an admission form while you are here, or ask for one by email or WhatsApp.
Complete the form and return it with the documents listed below. If your child has a report, an assessment or a diagnosis, please send it now. It helps us plan, and it has never counted against a child here.
Your child spends a session in the class they would join, with their prospective teacher and, where it would help, one of our special educators or our physiotherapist. The purpose is to see how your child experiences our setting and what support they would need. It is not a test of what they know.
We aim to give you a decision in writing within ten working days of the taster session. On acceptance we send a written offer setting out the programme, the class, the start date and the fees, and your child's place is secured when the acceptance form and deposit are returned. Then the real work begins: your child's information goes to their class teacher before day one, so that they are known before they arrive.
Most families' first real step is a visit, not a form. You are welcome to come with your child, look into classrooms in use, and ask us anything — including questions you'd rather ask in person than put in writing.
To complete your child's admission, please prepare the following. If you have any questions about the requirements, do contact us — and if you cannot produce something on this list, tell us rather than delay your application. We will discuss what else would serve.
We return every original to you at once and keep only photocopies. Where an application is unsuccessful, the documents are destroyed with it.
Where a class is full, your child goes on the waiting list. Places are offered first to siblings of children already with us, then in the order completed applications were received. There is no charge to join the list, and you may ask at any time where your child stands on it. A place on the list is not an offer.
Fees are charged termly, across three terms from September to July, and cover tuition, teaching and learning materials and toiletries. Lunch, the extended and full day options, and learning support are charged separately, so that a family pays only for what their child uses.
For the current fee schedule, please contact the school office and we will send it to you. We would rather talk you through it than leave you to work it out from a table.
A child joining part way through a term is charged from the date they start.
We ask for one full term's written notice if you decide to withdraw your child, or a term's fees in lieu. We ask this because we commit to our staff for the full year and a place held open cannot be offered to another family. Where a family faces genuine hardship, or something unforeseen such as a relocation or a bereavement, the Head of School can waive or reduce it. Please talk to us.
You may ask the Head of School to reconsider any admissions decision. Write to us within ten working days and we will respond in writing, with reasons.
